2012 Sexiest Man Alive

Channing Tatum has been named 2012’s Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine. To be honest, I was pretty indifferent about Tatum…….until Magic Mike happened and he made me a believer. There were some other excellent selections this year as well.

That being said, I’m going to need People name a person of color as Sexiest Man Alive next year. It’s ridiculous that in all of the years they’ve been doing this, only Denzel Washington has made the cover. That is ridiculous.

Idris Elba should’ve been on the cover years ago. And why not Will Smith? The guy is Hollywood’s biggest superstar, how has he not been selected? Tell me that’s not some BS.

Anyway, congrats to Mr. Tatum and below are some of my other favorite selections as well:

Still not convinced that the recent Geek Media Expo was the most epic event to ever epic events? Then don’t take my word for it, allow Fem and Meredith of The Whorer to convince you.

In a recent podcast they discuss the panels they attend and they also have some wonderful things to say about the LGBTQ in Genre Fiction panel that Sara Harvey and I moderated (around the 19:26 mark).

A great podcast headed up by two awesome hosts, this is a definitely a podcast you’ll want to subscribe to if you haven’t already done so.

And Then GMX Happened pt. 1

This video from the opening ceremonies (hat tip to one former student Terry Petty) pretty much sums up surreal things got. Keep an eye out at the 3:59 mark.

And they say a pic is worth a thousand words:
