Over on OUTvoices I provide a retrospective on Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In addition to explaining why the Disney+ original series has been a success (and the only one that has been to date), I also explain why the show’s unapologetic critique of racism, antiblackness and other forms of systemic oppression exposes much posturing and duplicity in both the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and our own as well.
